The past year has challenged businesses across industries to adapt to an evolving legal, political, and economic landscape - our Firm was hardly the exception. So much of the work we accomplished behind the scenes and on stage was a reflection of the world around us, but also the cutting edge work we've been involved in since our inception.
12 months later, we're proud to have been on the front lines of helping others navigate this pivotal moment in world history, while overcoming barriers that exist for early stage, women owned firms, with grace. Check out the following highlights and stay tuned for more lessons from easily one of our most challenging, yet rewarding years in business to date.
Growing Relationships, Building Trust
Client growth: We welcomed 15 new clients in 2025 while retaining 10 from previous years; a reflection of both the value we deliver and the trust we've built with creatives, startups, and nonprofits navigating complex legal challenges.
Staff and technology note: With the help of virtual legal assistants we strive to ensure every new client feels heard from day one. New client relationship management software has also helped to streamline our onboarding processes and ongoing communication.
Protecting What Makes Your Business Unique
IP portfolios: We managed 13 portfolios this year, strengthening protection for creatives, startups, and nonprofits across film/entertainment, tech-enabled ventures, and government contracting. An effective IP program is ongoing, combining proactive strategy, vigilant monitoring, and timely enforcement to capture value as markets and creative landscapes evolve.
Staff note: Automations and virtual legal assistants kept filings precise and on schedule, enabling fast responses to inventors, filmmakers, and brand owners.
Clarity and Confidence in Deals
Transactional momentum: 14 deals closed, totaling over $3,000,000 in value across film production agreements, startup funding rounds, and government contract negotiations. This reflects not only legal acumen but a disciplined, client-centric approach to risk, negotiation, and alignment with business goals—whether you're launching a creative project, scaling a tech platform, or navigating public sector opportunities.
Technology note: Software ensure our closings were completed remotely using electronic execution. Saving our clients time and money, while solidifying their business relationships.
Efficient Dispute Resolution
Pre-litigation settlements: This year, we resolved four disputes between founders and contractors before litigation; preserving resources, relationships, and operational continuity for mission-driven organizations that can't afford prolonged distraction.
Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
Speaking engagements: Ten (10) events, including our firm's 2-hour virtual town hall reflecting on the First 100 days of the second Trump administration, an in-studio appearance on the AI CEO podcast, an international webinar, and 7 in-person speaking engagements, this year demonstrated our commitment to translating evolving legal developments into practical guidance that helps creatives, founders, and nonprofit leaders anticipate change and act with confidence.
Staff note: Our social media and marketing assistant and senior consultants amplified these insights, turning complex topics into accessible takeaways for clients and peers.
Why These Results Matter
Protecting IP is strategic growth, not a one-off filing; whether you're safeguarding a film concept, a software innovation, or mission-critical branding.
Clear, efficient deal work reduces friction and accelerates opportunity capture across entertainment financing, startup investments, and government partnerships.
Proactive dispute management saves time, money, and stakeholder trust; essential for organizations building momentum.
Ongoing knowledge sharing helps you stay ahead in dynamic creative, tech, and public sector landscapes.
What to Expect in 2026
In the year ahead, we will deepen our IP management programs, expand our transactional playbooks for entertainment, startup, and government contracting deals, and refine dispute resolution strategies to stay ahead of evolving client needs.
